Rest In Peace Dennis Pollutro

Dennis was Robin's dad. Never got to meet him. Steve and I paid our respects to Dennis at the Laing Funeral Home in Eden Monday night. I went to the funeral the next day. It was very touching. Ther was only a small service at the Holy Spirit Cemetary in North Collins Tuesday morning. He had a Military service. The Priest prayed first and then Dennis received a 21 gun salute and tapps were played. To finish it off the soilders folded the flag off the coffin and presented it to Brad, Dennis' only grandson. It was such a touching moment. A nice luncheon was held at the Water Valley Inn in Hamburg afterwards with excellent food..Great choice of places!!!

Ruth's New hobby

Seems Ruth is bored!!! She needs a hobby. Last nite I spent the night and as I was scrapping I heard this funny scraping noise. I look over at Ruth and there she is sanding the table top with a big fat emery board! Holy Shit!
The table top is pretty old and the finish is shot but still! She threw all the stuff off the table onto the floor and was sanding the edges. I go over and took the board away from her and try to distract her. That worked for about a minute and she asked me where the emery board was and got real nasty! OOhhh she's trying to scare me! She demanded it back..so I gave it to her and put everything back on the table but minutes later she had the stuff all on the floor again and was sanding away! Again I went over to stop her with no avail! She was getting combative..so hey I don't get battle pay so I figured she would get bored soon and stop. No matter what I said she would not stop. Eventually she stopped and wanted to go to bed. I guess all that work wore her out! So off to bed she went . At least she was good about that. After I tucked her in I checked out her handiwork! Nice job she sanded the whole top of the table!
I got a wet cloth and wiped it down and she must have just sanded off old dirt and varnish it didn't look to bad. Then I put the Dollie back on and a ton of crap. Hopefully no one will notice! Ever! Also threw out the tool of destruction. Wow she can get feisty! Next time I need something sanded I'm gonna bring it to Ruth or try an emery board that worked great!

GIrl You're Crazy.......

Whenever I'm at Ruth's I sing. I like to sing. Supposedly she can't hear so I sing away. But whenever I do no matter how quiet..she tells me I should go somewhere with my singing. Maybe she means,Home or just out of ear shot for her! HasHaHa She keeps telling me I have a beautiful voice and I should take lessons and be somebody! Ya right! So the other day..I'm singing a little but I stopped. I put the TV on and a commercial came on with someone singing and Ruth says "Girl, you're crazy if you don't go find someone about your singing! I'll find them and bring them to you!" I didn't have the heart to tell her that was coming from the TV. I let her think that was me! I ain't that good! But then again she is hard of hearing! So along with my singing I did some scrapping..only 3 pages today and
I took some beautiful fall shots outdoors too.

A Human Jack-O-Lantern

Oh thats gotta suck!!! You're gonna feel that in the morning.....Should have Zigged when she Zagged! Poor Joe Seems drinking and laughing don't mix. Had a colission with Jamie's beer bottle. Joe took it hard at first but he proceeded to get totally waisted and got over it. Went to the dentist but the were not able to save the tooth and had to pull it. He will be getting a new one this monthe sometime. He didn't want it put in before halloween..Wants to be a hockey player..NICE!!!! Haven't seen him since it was pulled..nor have I heard him sing..wonder how that went last nite? I'll find out Friday..its Woody's Halloween party and the Boys are playing. I'll get another pic then to post. Maybe he should just put orange make-up on his face and make a green stem hat!!!!!! Hey he should be a scarecrow with a pumpkin head!!!!HaHaHa Poor Joe..Why does he get hit with all the "shit" At least now he's being a good sport about it..what else can ya do??

"Store Bought Teeth"

Dot and I went for a nice ride. Went to pick up Dottie but she was at the dentist getting her new "store bought teeth". So when she came into the room I asked her." Want to go for a ride?" "Sure" she said "it beats playing cards!" Boy there was a time Dot didn't want to do anything BUT play cards. Oh well whatever works. So we hopped into my car and off we went. I asked how she likes her new teeth. She told me they bother her . They hurt her gums and she probably won't be able to eat. I told her to give it some time to get used to it and she will eat again..gotta fatten her back up so she will still fit in her new clothes Robin got her this spring..Took all winter to plump her up! Anyway..we took a leisurely ride out to East Aurora. The weather was quite nice..a little cool but beautiful. Parked on Main street and walked a little bit. We went into "taste" coffee shop to get coffee. Dot thought she would be able to drink coffee. We both got coffees. Dots coffee kept dribbling out her mouth so we tried a straw and that seemed to work.. Dot didn't want anything to eat, I sure did! they have lots of goodies there. I ordered a wonderful hot Raspberry cobbler topped off with vanilla ice cream and whip cream and two spoons It was to die for! I knew Dot wouldn't be able to resist. Sure enough Dot dug right in. But her new teeth were slowing her down. Next thing I know she has them out wrapped in a napkin and is eating MOST of the cobbler! !
Oh well tomorrow is another day to try to get used to the new teeth! But for today its gum the cobbler....and enjoy every morsel Notice the new teeth sticking out from under the napkin? I put them in my purse so Dot didn't loose them and I even remembered to take them out when we got her back home. On the way out the door Dot stopped to "Hit" on some unsuspecting guy..asked him if he wanted to go for a ride with us..but he didn't.
Guess his mom taught him never to accept rides from strange ladies...And we definitely are strange ladies!!!! Took a stroll up main street and then got back in the car and took the long..long..way back to Autumview! The trees were all so beautiful.it was a lovely ride!

CLEAN YOUR ROOM!!!

Boy every time I go to Ruths its a "Whole new ball game!" Joanne called this morning to see if I could fill in for Cheri who was sick. Sure...money is nice and I got scrap stuff to take and do, so Ya I'll go. Joanne told me mom was busy in her room packing or cleaning or who knows... not sure which! Seems she thinks shes going home tomorrow. Always going home tomorrow! But tomorrow never comes. And when I got there she was so busy in her room.

Boy what a mess! Kinda looks like one of my kids rooms, or even my room! Joanne sure will have her hands full tonite when she comes home from work. HaHaha

I went out on the deck to enjoy the beautiful day and read the paper. Kept checking on her and sure as shit didn't she topple over! But that she did..seems she slipped and plunked on the floor between her dresser and laundry basket! her slippers kept slipping so she couldn't get a grip to stand up. So I
put a chair in her room to pull her self up on and then had her sit in it so she wouldn't stumble on the crap and fall again! But she did. She came out of her room with out her walker and spun out in the hall falling up against the bathroom door and sliding to the floor. Boy I guess she is like a toddler just learning to walk! She falls all the time and fortunatly dosen't get hurt! Made her come sit in her recliner and watch TV for a while. I scrapped some( you can see those pages on my blog story October scrap pages) and then made us a nice lunch. She never did get back to her room but I guess Joanne can deal with that mess tonite! 5 o"clock rolled around and I was out a there!

UNWANTED VISITOR

Um I don't think so!!!! Came down to scrap tonite. Turned the light on and just caught the "tail" end of a mouse run up into the wall opening over my scrapcrap!
I have been spotting "mouse turds" around and I don't like it! I don't want them chewing my books and papers and supplies...That would not be a good thing!!!! So I set a few traps. within an hour "SNAP" Got em' Sorry Pal this town isn't big enough for the two of us..One of us has to go and it ain't me! One down....????to go? HaHaHa gives me more scrappin material!!! Oh I am sooo creative!!!!! OH NO I hope this wasn't TOPOGGIO?

How was school?

"How was school today?" Ruthie asked. "Oh its the weekend..no school today..I got a 2 day break" I said. "Oh that's nice" she said. I love that she thinks I'm so young. Ruth was sitting in her chair when
I got there. She was looking thru her antique bottle collector book. She tells me all the time she collects old bottles. Goes all over looking for old garbage dumps to find them! She also asks if I know of any place around here to dig for bottles. And I always tell her no I don't think there are places like that up here. Boy was I wrong! Steve and I went for a walk in the woods behind our house a few weekends ago.
Steve wanted to show me where there was an old car that was abandoned and really sinking into the ground
so we hiked a ways into the woods and out into a clearing and down the hill. Finally we came to it! it was really cool to see..took lots of pics.

it was a garbage dump of sorts..lots of bottles and pans and tin stuff..Steve and I grabbed up a bunch of bottles..the tin ware and pans were really rotted tho. Just seeing the stuff like that in the woods was really neat!
Here are the bottles we brought home. I washed them up and they are in different places around my house now! So I did tell Ruthie about it. Now she wants to go there digging! Oh..good luck getting back there with your walker..HaHaHa. Anyway back to Ruth sitting reading...She proceeded to tell me she had lots of old liqueur bottles (which she emptied)... but then threw them out and she could kick herself for tossing them back then. Now some are worth $600.00 or more! So I think she is on a hunt to replace the ones she tossed years ago before she really started to collect them. As she was reading she kept stopping and listening. "Do you hear John's car running? Look to see if he is out there with his girlfriend..they are afraid to come in. he should be afraid..But he shouldn't sit in the car while its running!" "No Ruth" I tell her. "No one is out there, you hear the refrigerator running! I tell he I have never seen John here at the house. In fact i have never seen John at all i do not know what he looks like or what kind of car her drives...But there is no car out there anyways! The she says.."Oh shoot" do you know where my briefcase is?" I say.."You have a brief case?" "you mean your pocketbook?" She laughs and says "yes that's what I mean. I don't want John to take it and give it to his girlfriend. I have lots of money in there!" ooh, Hope she offers to pay me again then! Then she tells me she needs to get her purse and find all of her stuff because John will be here soon to take her home she says she has been here at grandmas long enough! Ain't going no where granny..so get used to it! We continue to watch TV. I get out my scrapping stuff to work on it for a while and as soon as I began working on my page..Ruth started (Just like a toddler!) "Do we have any ice cream?" "Yes we do let me get some for you" I say. Got it..Bad news only enough left for one dish..but that was OK when I got there dinner was still dinner on the stove and there was homemade applesauce. So I had a bowl of that heated up and that was really yummy!!!! Back to the scrapping. "Can you put the kettle on I think I would like a warm up for my tea" "Sure" I say...get that done..
Back to work..."Can I have a glass of water?" "Ok I'll get it"... Back to scrapping...a few minutes go by..."Do you know how to set hair..can you find my rollers and roll up my hair?" "SURE GRANDMA...I'm not doing anything!" But then I notice she is wearing a sweat shirt..so I tell her.."Why don't you take your shower first and then we can set your hair" "OK" she says and starts to get up but sits back down.."I think I will do it later I want to watch this TV show" Funniest home videos was on.. Great A reprieve. So I actually got to do some uninterrupted scrapping for a bit. Finally the show was over and she forgot about the shower and rollers and said she was tired and wanted to go to bed. Great..Works for me..Get her to bed...nite nite Ruthie! Finished my Jim page and left around 10.

Did These People Pay the Rent?

Poor Ruth , she is so concerned about where she lives. She wants to go home and always wants to pack. We tried to do a little packing the other night but she never has any boxes...oh thats too bad! I always tell her to wait till tomorrow and Joanne can get her some boxes from the liquer store where she works. But she trys to pack anyway.
This time she unloaded the bottom shelf of a table and tried to stuf some of it in a box full of silverware that she plays with everyday! then she didn't have any news paper to wrap the stuff in so she gave up. then she discovered she could wrap stuff in "paper Book Jackets" Nice!
So she wrapped something up for me and gave it to me. How nice of her..A rock wrapped in a book jacket..Just what I've always wanted! Tried to tell her she wasen't going anywhere..that all her stuff was here and she was home! She told me she had to move...Because noone paid the rent..She asked me "Did these people pay the rent?" "What people Grandma?" I asked..you own the place you don't have to pay the rent! Oh thats right she said she says I remember when we build this cabin on the island. What???? I get her ice cream to get her mind off it and get her back in her chair. Bed time....lets see how this goes!.. She went off to bed with out a problem and I was going to get into scrappin..but...Grandma told me I had to go to bed too because we couldn't use anymore electricity! the people who pay the bill have been hollering at her for using too much electricity. She said "No TV tonite turn all the lights off and go to bed. "Ya Ok" I said.. Got her tucked in and closed her door and went into the kitchen and scrapped.
I even took a fall decoration off her wall and used some of it on my fall page! Looked good too! Just what the page needed. Went to bed at 3:30 onlyu to have granny wake at 4..come out of her room half dressed. Asked her what she was doing it was too eairly to get up. She said she had to use the bathroom..which she did and right back to bed...Climbed in under the covers in her jeans and night gown! Hey what ever works...I didn't even tell her she had jeans on! Night Night now grandma!!!

Easy $20

Got a call from Joanne..She wanted to come home from work and cut her grass today..seeing how it was 74 degrees!..She asked if I could come sit with Ruthie. I was going out tonite to Whiskey Joe's to hear Joe..but since it was from 6:15 to 7:30 I could do that. I wasn't quite ready when I had to go..
So I got there and good old Ruth was dozing off in her chair. I proceeded to do my nails...watch the news..and read my new book..ate 2 small pieces of great homemade(by Ruth) apple pie! Left at 7:15 and got $20. NICE!!!!
Almost as easy as the money I made working for Roger on a secret mission last weekend at Desi's. Roger even threw in free drinks! What a guy. But that is a whole different story for a whole different blog! HaHaHa

Thoughts and Prayers

Please keep Robin's family in your prayers. Dottie has not been feeling well since her birthday in the beginning of September. Dennis, Robin's dad is still in the hospital..Heart problems..then they thought he had a colon tumor..did surgery found gall stones. He also had a heart attack somewhere in there too. Still not sure about the tumor tho. Now he is an induced coma in ICU on a respirator unsure if they can successfully wein him off. The family has some decision making to do. Please keep them in your prayers to help them together make the right decisions and help to lighten there burden. It is a very tough time for them now. Robin's brother and sister's have been home to be together during this time. Both of their parents are in their eairly 80's. Thoughts and prayers go out to all.

Someone is under my bed!!

It was a bad Night for Michelle..and Joanne. Ruthie is on another "John kick" She thinks he comes and parks in front of the house. She is sure he brings his girlfriend with him and they sneak into the house. They take clothes, John's own clothes and then Ruth's clothes for the girlfriend! Seems that night around 3am she wanted to go out side and confront John she gave Michelle quite the run for her money, she was kind of wrestling with Michelle to get out the door!! Michelle ended up calling Joanne to come deal with her mother. So Joanne did and now is unloading Michelle..she is worse to deal with than Ruth! Joanne had switched my weekend nite to Sunday ..but now I can have Sat nite too if I want...MORE MONEY.... love it (as long as the band is not playing) Anyway Joanne got Ruth back to bed but she was up and down all night looking and yelling for John!!!!John..John..... John is not here MOM go back to bed! needless to say Joanne was pretty tired the next morning and dragged her ass thru her day! Now I show up Sunday nite to sleep over and Joanne meets me in the driveway. She fills me in on Moms night and that all day she was upset and caring on about John and his girlfriend. Joanne couldn't wait to get out of there! She did tell me if mom gets bad just call Joanne and she will come back up. I told her we'll be fine! I walk in and and said hi to Ruthie and she started..."oh hello..was John out there when you came in? Were you with John. Everybody is lying to me and won't tell me where John is." I told her I never met John, never seen him so I didn't know where he is or what he looks like..but I did know he's was not in the driveway! But would you like some ice cream..our favorite kind is in the freezer. So she agreed and we had ice cream and she was fine! I got her her evening meds and she started to drift off so I told her it was time for bed! She was a little confused she kept asking where was she supposed to sleep? I told her her bedroom was right here. "Oh" she said I'll go to bed now..if I can find my bedroom. "Its right here Ruthie" I said "OH" she said "ok but I need my flash light" I got it for her it was under the bed but the batteries were dead and it didn't work but she wanted it next o her bed anyway. Off she went to bed. An hour later she was up with the flashlight in her hand. I walked in and asked what she was doing..she told me someone was under the bed... Ruth said it was John, he always hides under the bed! So I looked.."Nope no one under there no one could fit not enough space and besides there was lots of stuff stashed under there no one would ever fit! She didn't believe me...So I said "Look Ruth no one can fit" I got down on the floor next to the bed to show her no one could fit but she said to me.."Well you can't fit because you are a "Big Woman".. HaHaHa she always makes comments about my "size" I may be fat but she is old!!!!!! oh yea I'm old too! Shit!! Any way she said she would go back to bed as soon as she found her bedroom..I told her she was in her bedroom..and she needed to go to bed. "Ok" she said "I think I will go to bed" as soon as I find my bedroom...this is your bedroom so I'll help you get into bed and cover up.. "No" she said "I'm going to bed" Right... I'll help you..."Where is my room" she said. Your in your room I said..you need to get into bed now..."No" she said I want to go to bed now" What a good idea I said! But we can't find your room and I think someone is under your bed!!!! Just kidding I didn't really say that but I wanted too!! Finally back to bed. An hour later I hear her in her room..she was fiddling with some glassware..I go in she says to me..."I found my flashlight" and she was hitting the palm of her hand with the bottom of a glass vase shaped like her flash light. Got a little nervous then thought..was she warming up a weapon to clobber me... or trying to get the damn vase to lite up??? It was the latter..... so I take the vase from her.. shake it,hit it on my hand to try to get it to work and then told her the batteries were dead so she needs to get back to bed. I told her I'll put the flashlight in the basket right next to the bed in case she wakes up again and needs it.
She said she couldn't go back to bed because she couldn't find her room! here we go again!!! I got her to lay back down ..I told her.."sleep here then, we'll look for her room in the morning when there is more light! "Ok"..she said "thanks for stopping good night now" Once more during the night she got up to use the bathroom and yelled down the hall for John but he never answered so she mumbled "Bastard" and did her business and went back to bed! Thank God!

A Two Bagger...a 2 Oldbaggers Day!

Did a double shift today. Dot this afternoon. Found her down at a birthday party . It was a party for Nickki the dog. They had cake and ice cream but it seems the dog didn't like the cake! But Dottie did. Walked her back to her room because she wanted to play cards. We started with gin rummy and then go fish then regular rummy. Dot did better at regular rummy today she actually beat me..well she was in the lead when she said "I think I'm gonna throw up" "Great" I said "just not on the cards!" She didn't want anything to eat or drink says she still doesn't feel right. I told her no treats till shes all better. And she better hurry up and get better cause I'm missing my treats!!!! So she wanted to quit and rest before dinner that she said she was not going to eat anyway! Well I hope she feels better soon! Gotta get those treats in,and fatten her back up!
Left there to zoom up to Ruth's by 5. Only had to be there till 6:30 then the Tuesday overnight girl comes in.
Got there and Ruth was doing dishes. So she starts how she is divorcing John. And that he was there yesterday and got his clothes out of the house. So I fixed her dinner and during dinner she wanted to call her son Jack. She was telling him shes divorcing his dad she just can't take this treatment anymore. He won't even face her or talk to her! And he drives by the house and parks out front just to aggravate her but won't come in! Well of course he won't come in...He's DEAD!!!! Then she was worried John would go to their house and take the lock box and her coin collection. I told her she sold the house and every thing was in this house now. Probably in the basement and she should ask Joanne about it when she gets home! Ruth told me she didn't sell the house she still has it, and she is going home tomorrow. Andwould I call her son Jack and aask him to go get the stuff from the house. So I did, well not actually..I called my house and left it on my answering machine.. then told her Jack said he would go get the stuff as soon as he could! She fell for it!
So I just sat there making Christmas cards watching TV. Ruth finally gave up the John chatter and went and sat in her comfy chair to watch the news. My replacement arrived on time and I was otta there only to return tomorrow at 11...Bye Bye Ruthie!!

"Steve, Steve!"

Fun night at Ruthie's last nite. Got there at 7:30. Ruth was all showered and was sitting there nicely watching TV. Joanne and I chatted a little bit. She told me the girl last nite had a heck of a time with mom seems she wouldn't stay in bed and kept getting up and locking the doors... then she fell in the hall and the girl couldn't get her up so she called Joanne at 3am to come get her up! When Joanne got there the Girl was out on the deck having a smoke while mom laid on the floor. Oh things were not good! Seems the two of them spent most of the night yelling at each other. Joanne was not happy with that!! So Joanne took over and sent that girl home. Needless to say Joanne will not have her come back. Good for me..I just picked up another overnighter now I do 2-4 overnighters a week for 125.00 a night!!! Whoot! Joanne hoped I have a better night with good ole Ruth and then left. Grandma started right away talking.."Hows your mom? Hows your dad?" I told her they were fine. Then she asked for ice cream and a brownie. I got it for her and she asked where mine was. I told her I just finished a big piece of pineapple upside down cake and vanilla ice cream and that I was full! I mentioned it was my husband, Steve's birthday today and I made his favorite cake. "oh" she said "that's nice, how old is your boy?" I told her he was 57 and she couldn't believe it..that I would have a boy that was 57! "No" Ruth Steve is my husband..remember I'm 55? Then she laughed and started telling me a story about the other day....Seems she was talking to her insurance man and she told him that her "girl's" boy was having a birthday today and even tho she didn't know the people she wanted to send a card. But she said her girl friends husband was having a birthday too and when she sent him a card he died the next day. She proceeded to tell me that when she goes home tomorrow she is going to send a card to the boy even tho she doesn't know his people. But he's married to her "Girl" so she better send it so the "Girl" doesn't get mad. She should write a book! Maybe she does a blog on ME!! HaHaHa. Anyway she proceeded to talk non stop till she nodded off at 9:30. I woke her and told her it was bed time. She said "OK" like always. But it took a half hour to convince her all the doors were locked and that Steve was not sitting in his car out front watching me like her John does! We even had to go look out the back door to see I told her we have one car and I had it tonite so he couldn't come. She keeps hearing cars when actually it is thew refrig cycling! But she never remembers! Finally She went to sleep. Woke twice to use the bathroom. Woke at 6am but I told her it was 5 and she said she would go back to sleep till it was light out!
Up at 7:45 to start her day. Tea and Toast. Bye Bye Grandma see you Wednesday morning!

Found it!!!

Remember I mentioned I had the same tee shirt as Grandmy Ruth. I thought I gave it away. But this summer I was missing a few shirts. HUM>>> Found them in the attic when I was getting out my fall/ Halloween stuff! There in the bottom of the bin was a bunch of summer things. Seems I threw Halloween stuff that was never put away at the time in the bin! Duh!!! So I found them. Every year I usually "loose" some stuff. But it always got left in the attic and I find it the next season. Any way here is Grandma and me in our matching shirts.

Tummy Troubles

Dot today did not feel well. I guess Robin said she hasn't felt well in a couple of days. So we sat for a bit then I went and got us some ginger ale and crackers. That went down ok. So we walked to the Clothing sale in the activity room. Hum..I thought it was the discarded clothes of .."residents past". I figured like a garage sale. But when we got there..it was all new stuff with inflated prices. They were k-mart clothes at Macy's prices! Nice rip of the old people... that sucked. Fortunately for me nothing grabbed Dottie's eye! So she wanted to go back to her room because she was not feeling that well. We took a slow stroll back to her hall and when we go to her hall she grabbed my arm and kind of panicked. Said her hall was too long and she didn't want to walk it! She didn't want a wheelchair so I told her to look at the ground and walk slow her room was only a few doors away. So she did and we made it back. We chatted a while and her nurse came in and checked her out so then we played cards. A little bit later her Dr. came in and checked her out also and pushed on her tummy and Dot didn"t like that! So he was going to order some medicine. The consensus was she hadn't pooped in a few days and they think if she does she will feel better! Sound like Mamma. Whenever we complained of a tummy ache Mamma would always ask...When did you poop last? Standard question... Pooping was almost always the answer..LOLOL We continued to play go fish.. because she didn't want to play rummy but she kept confusing the two games. Finally I had her lay down and rest. I told her I wouldn't stay a while and we both kind of napped... Gotta love that part of the job!!!!. Feel better Dottie. I let Robin know of her moms complaints and Robin told me her dad is ailing too.. seems he has a blockage in his small intestines and needs surgery. Trying to diagnose him he had a heart attack! Robins 2 sisters are coming in tonite and will go see both their mom and dad. GET WELL EVERYONE!!!!

Wanna come out and Play?

What a beautiful day today! I went to Dots today and of course when I got to her room she was a sleep. She was trying to trick me! Couldn't find her..her head was at the wrong end of the bed.
I wondered what that giant lump was at the foot of the bed!!! So I called her..."Dottie..wanna come out and play.... I hear this "sure"..she rolls over and says.."OH it's you" So I say to her.."So you don't even know who is asking if you want to go out..you'll go anywhere even with strangers!" Nice! She says they must trust the people alot at the place where she lives. I told her yes..they do background checks and they hire honest people that's how people keep there jobs by being trustworthy. She said they must to let them take people out like this! Then I realized she must think I work there!!! Oh well..she thinks I'm nice and trustworthy then! And I did return her as promised! Much to her shagrin!!!!
Any way I asked where she would like to go..she didn't care anywhere so I told her we'll go get ice cream and go to chestnut ridge..
for a nice ride and sit in the swing and watch the city go by. So as we were driving she commented she forgot her sunglasses so went went to the dollar tree and got some..then off to DQ for our waffle cone carmel chocolate blizzards...on the way there Dot said.."Hey I got an idea..why don't we go for a ride! Just ride around" I laughed I said that's what we are doing..we're taking a ride to DQ then to Chestnut ridge and hanging out a while then we will take the long way back!! She laughed. Dot likes to laugh alot and that we do...She is too funny. We got to the ridge..it was abusy place today. Lots of schools take there sports teams up there to run and there were lots of other people enjoying the great day! One family was up there and the dad was trying to fly his Eagle kite. It was cool. But after several attempts to fly it off the hill I yelled.."Hey ya gotta run down the hill and back up again to get it to fly!!" He laughed and said "I don'T run!!"
Of course not..look at the size of him!!! I said to do..The dogs have a better chance of flying than his kite..!!
We got back to her room and sat and chatted for a while then when she went to walk me out my friend from church came out from her mom's room across from Dot's to meet Dot and then Dot went in to meet her mom "Marge"...Marge is a real "TRIP" She lives way out there in outer space!!!! The two of them are too funny together!
Soon I left and went home to finish a scrap page and make dinner. What a nice evening. Ate out on the deck and relaxed reading my new scrap magazine by my little light in my deck rocker...How cozy!!!!
