My Newest Granny

Jenny...Sweetest Granny going. I see Jenny once a week now. She just moved into a new senior complex. What a great place...I wanna live there. It is fairly new... great size...nice safety features and security. She seems to be adapting quite well. Once a week I go over and spend time with her. helping with what ever she needs doing. It took a few weeks to get her ready to move..lots of stuff to sort thru! That part was sad for her..but she was able to give her family lots of nice mementos and things that she will be able to visit..I makes me think about the big job ahead of me when I move and start unloading all my "Junk"! Jenny is still pretty independent. She still drives and volunteers at a few places. She stays pretty busy. Soon she will be a great grandma again. time marches on..there is no stopping it. We all just adapt!

Unfortunatly due to unforseen circumstances I no longer care for Grandma Dottie. ...Sad ending. And guess who pays the price? Sorry Dottie..but they are right you just can't pick your family!!!!

Goodbye Grandma Eleanor

Thursday March 4th 2009 Grandma Eleanor passed away from colon cancer. She was 84 years old and remained in her home cared for by her family and a few other caregivers till the very end.
Monday March 16th the family is having a memorial service at Mt. Calvary Cemetery and there will be a luncheon after.
This is a sad occupational hazard for my job.. But these elderly people are so sweet and it is such an honour to meet them and to be able to care for them in there final years. I wouldn't give it up for anything!!!!!!
So I am back down to my 2..Grandpa Bob and Grandma Dottie...
I did need a little break between tho ..seems I had a slight heart attack last week. But today I am back to my old self!!! Nothing slows me down!!!!!
So life will go on..hopefully more grannies will come into my life and then sadly they will slip away too!!
So so long grandma Eleanor it was a great pleasure to meet you..see you someday on the other side.

Good News..We called off the APB!

Hey they found Dotties Choppers!!!! Yes they were still in the building. They were found in someone elses room in someone elses drawer! How they got there we'll never know! All I know is that when I got to Dots today and got the cards out...well there they were starring up at me from the drawer!!! Maybe someone else needed them for a while! Yuck!!! Dot did say she scrubbed them up really good tho. I sure hope so...Hum Maybe she left them one nite while visiting someone elses room!!!! Dot you sly dog you!!!!!!!!
