Yep..I had to go be trained to have lunch with Dottie. had to go for occupational training. Hope I get a certificate..then I can put it on my resume..Granny feeding..It will look good! Soon I'll have to do that occupational training for ass wiping and diapering!! Then I get a big fat Granny Nanny Raise!!!!!!! the bigger and stinkier the Ass the more cash!!!!!! You all hear that????
Anyway back to Dottie. Seems she is not to thrilled with the home or the food anymore. that is part of her attitude problem. so a few days a week I go and have lunch in her room with her. It keeps her out of bed and encourages her to eat. Seems to be working. but before I could do that..I had to go in for training! so I did which consisted of standing in the hall and the therapist handed me a set of instructions that said...
Wash hands and the clients too
make sure she is sitting in the proper position
Make sure her teeth are in properly ( no she eats better without her teeth!)
Cut food into bite size pieces
If spoon feeding give little amounts
make sure to give liquids between bites
encourage her to eat all her meal
blah blah blah.....
I get her tray..she eats what she wants...I eat what she dosent...(Notice she is reaching for the box of candy on her tray?)we laugh and talk and play with our food and eat the junk food I bring we then wander the halls..have coffee in the atrium wander back..Dottie takes a nap I return her tray to the dinning room and go home! Another fun day at work!!!
